Occupy Insects

Posted by on Dec 2, 2011 in 2011, Choken Word, OccupyTogether

We will be here in the end,
when the dust settles,
when the grid goes down,
when no one knows how
to pick themselves up.

We will carry the torch,
and create light
and starve to make it right,
when others have laid down,
we will stand.

We will carve statues,
from the rubble found,
from the life we inherit,
from the death we bare it,
because we always have.

Dinosaurs of our kind,
that don’t think in line,
that don’t think of time,
but of cycles and revolution,
of the birth of new nations.

Survivors we are,
seekers of truth we are,
adapters to environment
no matter how harsh,
for we are the insects that march.

We are the artists who craft
the bows and arrows preparing
to defend the heart
of the new world we imagine,
Draw, Design, Write.

simple yes. elegant, not sure… but thank you my friend. i was thinking about how pesky artists are. no matter what culture you can’t get rid of us. we are the cockroaches of culture. there is no defeating a roach. we spread and multiply.

Love it. The emergent properties of the hive are almost impossible to predict. Yet one thing is certain; the greater the number, the greater then connections, the all the more inspiring and just those emergent properties shall be. We are on the verge of something transcendent…
