Happy one year anniversary JaxCAL.org. One year ago today we started this conversation. Thanks to all who have participated. If you are feeling nostalgic as I am, take a walk through memory lane by clicking through the JaxCAL archives, here.
jaxcal is the library of congress when it comes to covering art in this fair city of ours, good work bk and all those involved let’s make this year one to be proud of…
thanks Morrison. that’s quite the compliment. I do think we have the only ongoing archive of contemporary art shows in Jacksonville going. Wish I could be at all of them. Maybe in the future we can get more folks involved taking pics and covering shows for the archive. that would rock.

if you haven’t been there lately. That’s all the shows and art events I’ve been to and archived since last August. The way I see it if we don’t have get photos of it, it’s basically like it didn’t happen. that’s everything.
we as a budding scene should be documenting the hell out of everything we do.
On another note, our main man Mark Creegan is in the Folio this week. page 40. Nice spot. Check it out.

you are right about taking photos of the shows the gallery will close down and without proof it never happened.

earlier today i found my soft feminine side when i was looking for my car keys there it was looking me in the eye saying don’t be mean
i get excited over positive movements like jaxcal it is a hub for the artist and community to be involved and we need this.
what else is out there right now

Congrats jaxcal, bk, Morrison’s feminine side. This site is a beacon of light in a local internet black. Ok gray hole. And writing this I realize I need marks phone number. I was not able to find straws nor rubber bands. Sounds dicey. Sorry . I digress. Glad you all are here and working on the dream. I wish I could be a better advocate and sponsor. You guys all deserve mega benefactors and get, jack squat. I pray that changes. Best to jaxcal and all duval arteests. T
the soft side lasted only one day, everyone should watch this documentary “the eternal children” lot of soul out there in the world direction is what is needed most
