In the 90s I was a big fan of Matthew Collings’ books. I was always jealous of Britain cuz they had shows like this. His “This is Civilisation” is great also, maybe better.

“This is Modern Art” was our textbook in Robert Fichter’s grad seminar at FSU. Yeeeah!
I used to go to Borders on my lunch break from BCBS and read this book and Artforum. I would put the book in a special place so I could find it easily.
