I’m proud to see you followed through with your plans Akbar. Moving piece. It must have been magical to see your own work burning. If it has no truth in it its not worth burning.

Keep writing and burning them my friend. Keep fighting for the truth.

    Well done.

You make a great point too about how the concept of book burnings should be pointless in the current times when entire libraries can be carried around in a digital reader like the Kindle. What’s next Kindle burnings?

Deleting data. Hardrive burning? It’s all so strangely symbolic.

Your best post ever by far. Epic is a word you’ve used before. This work is epic in its significance. I want to buy more books and burn them. Who knew you had such a wonderful fireplace for book burnings too. Can I send you books to burn? Would your wife let you burn a Kindle with all the classics and all the holy books on it? Would anyone care if you burned digital books?

bravo! by the way, pastor chin mullet wanted to express his gratitude for your willingness to burn spiritually-inspired texts of a controversial nature. unfortunately, when he heard about the multiple incidents of self-reference in this post (e.g., that you burned your own book), his head exploded. the good news is that the mullet was successfully removed from his chin and is expected to survive. with any luck, it will be appearing shortly on larry king and at other important news outlets.

daniel said that then they should burn along with the koran, the bible, the baghavad gita, the talmud, the tao, etc etc … and it saddened me and frightened me to free the energy dependent and needy on wise teachings. the world incensed Would it be burning our cages ? Would it make us take responsibility to experience and find our own wisdom/awareness?
Im sure you experienced a great release in burning your book but you may have lost strength by making it a public performance but,,,, you make a point

    all good questions mariana,

what i have found is that experimentation leads to expansive perspective…so, i would not feel the way i feel about it all today, if i had not taken the action…

so, i was energized by it, which is usually a good sign, but i am especially happy that it was my work and not somebody else’s, as that would have missed the point…
