Interact Jacksonville.com
Jacksonville.com, The Florida Times Union, has done a complete web site redesign and launched it today. They actually worked with a handful of local bloggers, UrbanJacksonville.info, and MetroJacksonville.com, Globatron.org, and others to get some input on the design. It’s a complete design overhaul which has many web 2.0 community building type functions. There’s a whole list of them on the site, but blogging is a real focus of the new site. Each columnist can have their own blog, and we the people can comment on the stories.
Also Jacksonville.com has begun to partner with local blogs in an area called First Coast Sites which is on every page it seems. From this area on the right sidebar you can find RSS feeds from some of Jacksonville’s blog community. Globatron is in the mix too which is very nice to see. Hopefully some of our observations and interviews will be read by folks who aren’t so into contemporary art as we are. That’s a good starting point to begin to educate our community although a small one. So go check it out. Register and get a username and password. Look through the WikiJax for info on how to participate in discussions and use the new functions of the site. And if you have a chance congratulate Jacksonville.com for entering Web 2.0 land.
So now Globatron.org is not only syndicated nationally by the CulturePundits.com network but also locally by our own city newspaper. The world is our oyster Team Globatron :) Viva la discussion, observation, and collaboration.

Thanks for the kind words… we look forward to moving into this brave new world with you!
Thanks Tad for including us in the journey. It’s definitely a technological step forward.
