Eyes shut. Ears plugged.
The world outside will adjust.
As I lie in hibernation.
I have not slept this long since college.
Hungover days of ignorance
And youthful bliss.
Band-aided with drunken sunrises.
For sleep like this I have no knowledge.
As it falls deep, dark, hard.
I wake up and it is noon.
I doze off again in another room.
Waking up to see the moon.
Waking only for calories.
Vegetables finely measured, to be immune.
To alkalize the system.
To find balance within cells
Learning to control themselves.
Learning that they have enough.
Fatigue has finally set in.
Wrapped in sheets all day and night.
An unconscious cocoon used to heal
The damage that has been done.
Now to regrow what is needed from
This new state of metamorphism.
