I See You

i’m inside here guys.
trapped in my body in this disguise.
you wonder what is going on.
but i am looking at you like a pawn.

you see my body not responding.
don’t count me out because i’m alarming.
my eyes see you and your response.
my mind knows this will pass at once.

these tears will stop and the light will shine.
my legs and arms will move once again.
i’m sorry you have to watch this spectacle.
you have it worse than me i think.

you have to watch and try not to sink.
as your heart sees a man in despair.
his body twitching in his chair.
body extended clinching his fist.
no warning before this twist.

i thank you from the bottom of my heart.
for being there for me from the start.
for the seconds turned into hours for us both.
a silent bond we have promised like an oath.

that we both share our humanity together.
at any moment we might experience stormy weather.
it is the journey for which we learn along the way.
that we might try our best to keep these storms at bay.

thanks, L. when life gives you lemons and such. I don’t let any tragic life experience go without trying to get something from it creatively. it seems to be my only reward for such pain.

    this is beautiful g-tron…

as i think about my spiritual journey, i see at the heart of it is the development of deeper and deeper compassion, and i see that in your journey, with these deep physical struggles, that it has made you a cultivator of compassion…

thanks guys. appreciate the support. i’m back at the office today. just for the record I asked a coworker down the hall how it sounded when i was seizing and he said he could imagine it being similar to a man getting his leg cut off.

i feel for the ones who have to watch and see it in person. it’s not a pretty site. i think i can imagine what water boarding would be like now.

as far as me, i’m just trapped in my body. traumatic yes, but i believe one gets used to them emotionally but never gets used to the pain.

Hey Globa question for you. I am not sure you ever ran in these circles but did you ever do any gaming or role playing in Jax?
The reason I mention it is that one of two stores that support this is closing after 25 years. It is called WarDogs and being a gamer enthusist it breaks my heart they are having to close. The economy is hitting everyone.
So if you do know of the place I thought I would let you know that it is closing and that will probably kill what was left of the gaming community in J-ville. You know moving out of here is looking better everyday Globa. I know up north there is gaming shit all over the place. Down here in the south, not so much. 🙁 Anyway good night to you all.
