    nice post!

    my feeling is that Welles’s kind of thinking was not part of a trend carried by the american right, but was much more widespread–though it was mainly attributed to nutcases on the Right (except the part about police brutality and racism). i suspect it has been in the air for a long time; we’ve been breathing it for generations. we’ve just called it by different names.

    good point Logo. most of this feels like a tea party express speech almost. much of it I do agree with, especially the last part about race, religion and lack of borders.
