Embodiment

4 December 2008 4 Comments

Check this shiz out.  Here you have Akbar Lightning, in his online body, as CardnalSerilius, manning the gun.  His friend Tim, in NYC, is driving.  He’s an excellent Warthog driver.  It’s our favorite way to roll.  I gun them down and he maneuvers to keep our shields up.  In the wider perspective you can see us engaged in a battle with 4 blue team members.  Their bubble shield can be problematic, and it’s on a hill so it is more difficult to splatter them.

Who needs art Akbar when your alternate digital realities can be rendered and exported in 3d to save with offspring for years to come?

I was monkeying around with netvibes.com last night and made my entire ditial environment at http://www.info.byronking.com.

That’s everything I have my claws in on one interface. Kind of like a digital business card. You could make a page like this for your character in Halo and upload all of the wonderful times you’ve had with your friend Tim. That would be an interesting experiment. Have you Halo character on twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc. Make him your alter-ego. What type of paintings would he make? Just think about it? The possibilities are endless. You could paint landscapes from the game as him. Through his eyes. You could twitter his deep thoughts.

Maybe I could get Halo 3 and an X-box for Christmas and join you in the alternate digital universe that Halo has created?

yes, that would be freakin awesome! for someone with an interest in digital things, the xbox is fascinating, so complex with beautiful graphics to boot. i love the idea of my halo character painting landscape paintings, love it.
